The Catalyst Team is seeking to hire 2 CloudOps to join our full-time team as full-time employee.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, configure, and provision new AWS cloud resources and migration of existing workloads to AWS by applying site reliability engineering principles, monitoring strategies, and performance optimizations for stability, security, and satisfaction for optimal customer experiences
  • Encompasses design, coding/scripting, infrastructure management, systems administration, and orchestration engines to ensure that applications and services meet uptime and availability targets.
  • Provide business, data, application and technology consulting for IT team members and business partners.
  • Continually improve and automate manual tasks, identify and resolve gaps in setting up a robust CloudOps practice, the primary cloud infrastructure components, and technologies
  • Identify the significant CloudOps security and compliance challenges, and mitigate them when transitioning from a traditional IT to a CloudOps environments
  • Implement DevOps principles to ensure continuous operations in the AWS cloud by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
  • Be comfortable using and adapting to different configuration management tools as required by clients.
  • Participate in the management and monitoring of all cloud infrastructure, including deployments of production and perform installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, backup, monitoring, access administration, and other Communication and Server Infrastructure-related tasks.
  • Work closely with service providers to resolve service outages and/or in provisioning new services and carry out equipment acceptance testing and system integration testing
  • Consider the entire Cloud infrastructure and ecosystem when driving toward improvement.
  • Develop code and documentation that adheres to best practices and standards.
  • Perform peer reviews of designs and solution proposals to ensure conformance to current practice and quality of work being generated.
  • Responsible for cloud services change management & incident management
  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings, working closely with the product, software and quality assurance engineers to deliver cloud infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing customer community
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS environment, operations and automation.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps concepts and best practices
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux OS and scripting required
  • Must have experience with the traditional developer toolset and practices such as source control management, conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles.
  • Knowledge of networking and information security concepts/best practices
  • Experience with scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell, or Python required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
